grey's anatomy

so i've been addicted to grey's anatomy since this year's superbowl.

actually, that's a lie — i've only been hooked since the thursday after, since i missed the original airing and watched the repeat at the urging of my friend january.  still, i think of it as "the superbowl episode" — though, i guess it's technically the post-superbowl "code black" two-parter.

(maybe not so much addicted as obsessed.)

i love love love this show!  joe and i just finished watching the first season on dvd and i ran out to buy the soundtrack album this past weekend.  i also try to read the writer's blog when i get the chance.  yes, i'm the ideal multi-media consumer.  no, that's not pathetic — i can think of no better way to fill the enormous spiritual void in my life.

anyway.

props to sandra oh for winning a golden globe for her performance as dr. christina yang.  she plays the amibitious straight-talker really well, and i admire the masterly use of her eyebrows to convey her character's various emotional states.

also, hooray for patrick dempsey's comeback!  i loved him as the schizophrenic uncle aaron on once & again back in 2002, so i'm rooting for him as love-interest dr. mcdreamy.  go, boy!

lastly, i love the way the character of meredith grey is written.  (i bow to shonda rhimes).  i mean, c'mon — haven't you ever felt so sad and miserable about your life that you break down and cry during sex?  okay, neither have i — but i believe it's possible, and i can see how it could happen.  meredith is majorly flawed and sleeps with inappropriate men — no, that's not redundant — but (so?) i really want her to be happy.

get the dvd.  watch the show.  you'll see what i mean.

I don't watch your show, but love your enthusiasm for it. I'm glad something is filling the enormous spiritual void in your life.
