duh.

so the latest issue of the new yorker arrives in my mailbox today and, as soon as i see the cover, i think, "oh, cute!  an homage to wayne thiebaud!"

once i get upstairs and settle in, i check to see who the artist is.  the table of contents reads:

you idiot!  it is wayne thiebaud!
